Summary

PMatInput is the form-compatible field for text, search, email, password, telephone, URL, and number entry. Projected prefix/suffix slots support icons, text, semantic actions, and compact dropdown addons.

The default search field uses a 44px visible height, 10px padding and radius, an 18px icon, and Montserrat Regular 14px text. Its interaction layer still meets the 48px minimum target.

  • A native input retains browser editing, autofill, mobile keyboard, and password-manager behavior.
  • Angular Forms receives parsed values; programmatic writes do not emit user events.
  • IME composition is committed only after composition ends.

  • The currency directive keeps a numeric model and formats only the visible text.
